Vol. 8 No. 1 (2023): Journal on Technical and Vocational Education: Special Edition for NARTC 2023

This volume consists of research papers based on the National Action Research TVET Conference 2023. The conference was held on the 5th of July 2023 at Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah. The collaboration between Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah (POLIMAS) and the Research and Innovation Centre, Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (DPCCE) has occasioned the organization of this significant event.

NARTC 2023 is an effort that provides medium and opportunities for research and writing for TVET educators. This will assist them to improve their teaching techniques and knowledge, as well as enhancing their abilities to think critically about all aspects of knowledge.

The theme of NARTC 2023, "Empowering TVET Through Research" coincides with the intention to escalate the functions and duties of academicians. This can be made into reality through new discoveries, thus improving the quality and competitiveness of the TVET education system in Malaysia. By presenting and publishing research and innovation in the field of TVET, this conference provides a platform for talented members of the academic community to share their knowledge, experiences, concepts, and best practices. Nevertheless, the dissemination of research findings at this conference is able to showcase the significance of research to interested parties, foster research development, and facilitate meaningful interactions among academics and researchers. The sharing of research outcomes on a national scale is hoped to further contribute to the advancement of TVET in our country.
