A Review of Industry 4.0: The Fourth Industrial Revolution in Manufacturing Industries

Abstract

Industry 4.0 development of the smart factory concept, the traditional philosophy of manufacturing systems will be change. The smart factory presents new factors and elements of traditional manufacturing systems and incorporates the current requirements of smart systems so that it can compete in the future. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is a way of combination of advances in robotics, the internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence, genetic engineering and other technologies. The revolution also describes the exponential changes to the way human living relating to the cyber technology. This paper is intended to review and summarizes the fourth industrial revolution in manufacturing industries as in today’s competitive and demanding market increasing challenges are inevitable in manufacturing industries.
