Educator’s Preparation for Differentiated Instruction in Higher Education

Abstract

Each of student has his characteristics during the learning process. This matter leads teacher’s understanding for her well preparation in the classroom activity. Since the ministry education of Indonesia recommended to teach students base on their needs or well known as differentiated instruction, an educator can implement it. In this study, educator’s preparation for differentiation class was investigated. There were 22 educators teaching in several universities in Aceh province contributed for responding their thoughts about the issue in this study. The data collected via Google form including open-ended questions. The results indicated that majority of the educators do some preparation before the class starts. It is added that 60% of the educators understand that the learning differentiation.
