The Athletes’ Gender Attitude towards Perceiving Gender Composition, Leadership and Membership during Cooperative Learning

Abstract

This case study is primarily concerned with the attitude of athletes’ gender towards perceiving gender composition, leadership and membership in a cooperative learning group. A total of 98 Form 5 students at Bukit Jalil Sports School were randomly selected as the sample of the study. Questionnaire that containing 15 selected-response items was the only instrument used in this case study. Major findings of the study were that both male and female athletes preferred mixed-gender group than single-gender group. Both male and female athletes preferred to choose their group members than decided by teacher when working cooperatively in groups.
